Jaguar XF 3.0S Oil in airbox
Discussion
Hey guys, looking for a little advice.
I have recently noticed a whistling noise when the car hits 2500rpm in any gear. I initially suspected a hose split / loose on the second turbo. However, I removed my airbox on Sunday to carry out some work and noticed the filter was covered in oil. So its left me wondering, could the whistle be pressure passing the piston rings, creating pressure in the crank case and blowing oil out of the breather? or is it likely the breather is blocked somewhere?
The car is booked in for a smoke test and cylinder pressure test tomorrow, but the worry is doing my head in.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Yhanks
