Good Day. Can anyone recommend a good locking tool and puller, for the front pulley removal on my X308 XJR?
Are the ones on eBay any good, or are they made of cheese?

TIA smile

Mick are you talking about the supercharger pulley? I changed mine for the upgraded one and had to very carefully cut it with a grinder as detailed in the instructions until it released from the central shaft. New pulley was then heated with a Mapp Gas torch and it slid straight on.

Hi LewG, thanks for your reply.
I'm talking about the crank pulley.

Have you done the S/C pulley already?

ETA: I'm assuming your looking to upgrade for more powers and don't just have a stuck crankshaft pulley smile

Thanks for the replies. No I haven't done the supercharger pulley. I want to replace the timing chains and tensioners etc, but of course I need to remove the crank pulley/damper, to remove the cam chains cover.
There are removal tools on ebay, but they look like Chinese stuff. I like good tools, so I'm just wondering if anyone has used them, or if they know of a good source to get a good quality removal tool.
TIA,
M. smile

It's a shame you're not closer otherwise you'd be welcome to borrow the tools that I made a decade ago when doing the same timing chain job.

I might be able to find a CAD drawing of it if you've got someone local to make it...?

Now that's proper!
