X308 XJR Rear Parking Sensors
Discussion
I have seen a few threads on these so will try and be brief. Needless to say, I haven't found my answer yet.
I can hear all my rear sensors pulsing/clicking as these should, however I get no rear parking assistance tone whatsoever. This used to work but has gradually got worse and worse and now hasn't worked for 6 months. It got to a point where i put it in reverse and it would just be a constant long tone. The wiring must surely be fine because all the sensors have power to them, hence the clicking. I happened to have just replaced the rear bumper with a better one which included sensors and they all click nicely as they should. I also replaced the rear park module in the boot in case that was duff. No change. Any suggestions appreciated.

The constant long tone would indicate that the sensors were dirty but whether that eventually leads to 'no tone', I have no idea. Might be worth giving the sensors a good clean though (and it wouldn't cost anything to do this).I can hear all my rear sensors pulsing/clicking as these should, however I get no rear parking assistance tone whatsoever. Appreciate the thought. I cleaned the sensors as a start and all click away happily. Replaced the module for another, however sensors click away on the old module and the newer one also. I can only think this must be something to do with the speaker or the wire going to it. I assume the speaker is in the space between the boot and the rear seats. Probably have to rip all the carpet out and teach myself how to do electric testing. Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
