Have just driven 1600 miles down to Bordeaux and back with a bent wheel. It has never been noticeable in the UK but on smooth French tarmac and laden with holiday gubbins for 5 it was like sitting on a washing machine on the spin cycle.

I will get it straightened, but wondering whether it’s worth investing in something like this

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-JAGUAR-XF-6-SPO...

And putting some higher profile tyres on than the 245 45 19 I currently have.

Any thoughts?

I had an XF on 19s and after my S-Types it felt like it was running on rims. Nobody seemed able to replace the suspension with something softer but I was lucky to find a set of 17s at my local dealer they wanted to get rid of - for £100. It made the ride more tolerable. Not magic carpet but at least an extra bit of vinyl.

Why not consider a set of aftermarket wheels?

Wheelbase do a set of 5 spoke Borbets (who make OE Jaguar as well as other premium brands wheels) for £600.
