Any XF expert know what a cx23-9c623-ab is ??
Discussion
When my xf went in for its MOT, a plastic lump - obviously broken off a bigger lump - fell out.
The tester said he didn't know where it came from.
It bears the jaguar logo and the part number cx23-9c623-ab.
Car still runs as normal !
The 9000 series p/nos hint to it being a fuel system part, but cannot find anything missing.
Any advice ??

Could it be the black plastic widget on top of this air con pump?.
It's hard to see what purpose it serves.

Seems it’s part of the air intake hose.
Jag/Ford part numbers are in three sections.
First is the model/model year first used/design centre
Second is the base number. It’s the same for any part of that type in every Jag/Ford
Third is a derivative, i.e if a model has multiple options of that part, like brake components.
If you google 9c623, you’ll see what I mean.

This is a bracket that is bonded onto the air flow pipe at one end and the engine at the other (the latter with a 10mm nut). It has snapped off on my XF but isn't critical to an MOT or performance as it hardly supports any weight or movement of the pipe.
Jaguar want £240 to replace - £170 for the pipe/bracket.
