I have a 97 XK8 that I had a throttle body installed on, still ran rough, so took to dealer to flash computer. Dealer tells me ecm failed and no parts are available. Any suggestions?

They've flashed it and corrupted it. Did they warn you off this? Ask them what software they used.
You drove the car there? Where is the car now ?
Running rough isn't software. Throttle bodies can be swapped without reprogramming. We did loads under a recall.

No one warned me of anything. The mechanic that put throttle body on said he checked everything-every fuse, relay and anything else he could think of and concluded the problem had to be in the ECM.

You took a 20+ year old car to a main dealer and they think you need a new ECM? Was the "mechanic born when the car left the showroom? There is so little info. here he might be right, but did the car actually get worse or did the ECM flash not fix the rough running? If they broke it they better fix it! If they just can't find the fault, extract imediately and take it where the people that might know work. Find a specialist, preferrably one that has access to second hand parts otherwise your bill will easily exceed the value of your car.
