Jaguar F Type roof not opening

My F type convertible roof will not open. When I press the open button the Windows start to open but stop after about 1 inch of movement. Any recommendations please.

If it's like an XK, is there a folding thingy in the boot?

No, but there is a tool that I can use to manually close but can't be used for opening!

I was hoping someone had done it on here. I did it on my XKR but not my F type.
