Smaller SC pulley on F Type
Discussion

back with the 4.2 there was lots of talk here about fitting different sizes of pulleys, but since the 5.0 engine came out it's been very quiet. I don't recall any discussions on changing the pulleys or fitting alternative types of superchargers.
Yeah it does seem the UK modding crowd on the F-Type is very limited, the guys across the pond in the US have been modifying them.I'd rather do what I can to begin with without tuning the car and I've heard discussion of upper pulleys, lower pulleys, supercharger porting and highflow cats.
What exactly is supercharger porting out of interest, does anyone know?
Anyone running a Powerhouse upper pulley?

At £186 price seems to be the best and been stainless steel will grip nicely with the stock belt.

Word of warning
I had a remap and supercharger pulley change (2012 XFR) done at a very well known and regarded Jaguar tuner , cost me around £1200
On the way home the car felt good but made more noise than normal , by the time the car had done around 100 miles the noise was significant and coming from the supercharger , the fault was quickly diagnosed by me to be the bearings in the front part of the supercharger failing
Now - If you or a well know specialist were not to fit the pulley correctly , or were careless removing the old pulley then the supercharger snout could be damaged
Of course the company in question denied they could have caused the issue and it must have already been like that (They should have checked as the car was under warranty up until that point) they did remove and refit the supercharger FOC, I bought an complete new unit (£2k) rather than just a snout (£235) as there was slight wear on the rotors.
The supercharger on the 5.0 V8's is different to the earlier cars so porting is not required and it is quite an impressive unit
I will add that I spoke to Powerhouse and the guy was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend him

May I ask who you had do the work, simply so I can avoid them please?I had a remap and supercharger pulley change (2012 XFR) done at a very well known and regarded Jaguar tuner , cost me around £1200

I suspect maybe then they fitted your new pulley they put too much heat into it and thus heated up the supercharger at same time which causes excessive bearing wear and then promptly bearing failure.
I think Powerhouse offer a fitting service so if I go that route I shall probably get them to also fit it too.

Can't name them as thats against the forum rulesI suspect maybe then they fitted your new pulley they put too much heat into it and thus heated up the supercharger at same time which causes excessive bearing wear and then promptly bearing failure.

I agree either they put too my heat into it or gave it a smack with a hammer to knock it home
As I said the guy from Powerhouse seemed very knowledgeable and I would have no doubts in using him
