Any 5.0L XKRS owners on here, are they worth it ? or should I go F type.

I had a 5ltr V8 XKR until recently, only reason for selling was moved to a new county where it's just not practical, far too much standing water and potholes.

Unbelievable car, sound, power and appearance.

I had a few drives in a couple of F types (not V8), the sound in dynamic mode was epic! the interior I found a little cramped compared to the XKR. I would have liked to have tried the 4WD V8, but none available at the time.

My choice would still be the XKR, however the V8 4WD might have been a clincher!

Different horses for different courses. There is no replacement for the XK/R; in 2014 a line became extinct.

I’m an XK fan, but not sure an XK-RS is worth the extra outlay. Leaving aside the asthetics (like it or not) the extra 40BHP is very hard to get down even in warm dry weather. Personally the run out XK Dynamic R gets you the -RS under pinnings/exhaust and for me, in a more attractive package and for considerably less.

I would go F-Type over an XK-RS for similar money. (residuals also seem higher for the F-Type, but only history will decide that outcome....

Hi
I brought an XK RS about 15 months ago after 10 years with Porsche GT3s
Happy?
Delighted! Goes like stink, sounds like thunder, looks that make you go weak at the knees, costs peanuts to run, amazing sound system
Outrageously cosseting (and carries stacks of rubbish to the tip at weekends)
Not sure what you could get for the money that would be better

Rare too

I’ve got a 2010 XKR it’s an amazing car & f-Type is lovely too but XKR is more of a practical car. It can a luxury saloon of wild animal at a push of a button.
My XKR has had a Jaguar sports team remap car & now sound just like the F-Type !
AT A PUSH OF A BUTTON.
