Nightmare, travelling to Le Mans in the heat last year was brilliant, having steam pouring out from under the bonnet at a toll both was not, middle of France and the Valley pipe burst.

Despite attempts in a French field to fix we gave up and sent the car back to the UK to a Jag specialist. Once month later (no rush to get the car back) I pick the car up, head home, half way and "pop" the valley pipe goes again.

Sent the car back to the garage who said that the gearbox is full of coolant and the coolant full of gearbox oil, seems that a seal in the gearbox cooling system failed and as the oil is getting into the coolant its over pressuring and popping the system at the weakest point!! Have the car at home now still with a broken valley pipe.

Has anyone had this before and if so a) how did you fix b) what is the best way to effectively cool the car

the design seems to have a flaw when it comes to cooling such a large hot engine
