77 xjc lowered uprated suspension

Have you considered a set of Sport springs from an xjs , the cars fitted with the sport option do sit a fair bit lower than the standard set up. Assuming they are still available the sports shocks were made by Bilstein.
Another option for the front would be a set of 2.8 series one front springs, these were if I remember rightly were the same part number as the first DB7's.

The front of my car already has shortened front springs which although looks good they are a bit too low. I’ve even gone 5% smaller on the front wheel diameter to give a bit of arch clearance but that also brings the front down. The rear is totally standard. I’d like to tuck the rear wheels a little into the rear and up the front a bit. I bought the car with that spring set up years ago, but wondered if a complete package was available. As you say db7 is a xjs underneath but I don’t know of a jag xj that has had that lot fitted be it xjs or db7. It’s not the sort of stuff that’s easily sold on if it looks a bit naff once fitted.
Not the usual car that people lower either but that’s how I like my cars if possible that is

Yes.xj restorations do a kit or will fit them.if you do them your self you will need a special tool to remove the front springs.go on to you tube and watch harrys garage he.s just had his coupe done.theres the before and after vids to watch.
Had a watch of the Harry’s garage vid. A bit of subtle suspension upgrade regarding height, I wouldn’t thought adjustable dampers would be worth it unless used with coil overs. The vid even says only 4 clicks are used on the dampers. Looks nice and level in the corners though For your rear suspension Rob Beere racing might be worth a look? He does a lot of IRS stuff for E-types:

Thank you. I have just started a thread on readers cars for the coupe. Will be a bit slow to start with as total work needed is yet to be confirmed but it will be brought back to life http://www.rob-beere-racing.co.uk/
