Does anyone know where to find a owners manual for a 2000 model XKR?

Thanks

I had the identical problem when I lost the driver's handbook.

As you know for 2000MY cars there are two books - Vehicle Care and Driver's Handbook.

I got a replacement from a main dealer - about 12 quid I think.

Someone suggested ebay - might be worth a look.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I set off the alarm for each time I unlock my car, using the key because the remote doesn't seem to work... I'm prob doing something very wrong?

Not sure about that one.

If your fob is like man there is one button to lock and one to unlock. There are also two other buttons for headlamps and boot release.

I believe the headlamp button if pressed 3 times can set off the alarm in panic mode if programmed by your dealer. This shouldn't happen just pressing unlock.

Have a word with your dealer.

Did you know that there is a club for owners and enthusiasts of XKs - It is great fun and full of information. See www. XKEC.co.uk. One of our members, John Millar, is technical adviser and also a member of pistonheads. I will ask him to see if he can help you.

My fob is just like that. But it doesn't work on locking/unlocking. I open with the key, and stick the key into the ignition before the alarm goes off, works for now.

I've seen the xkec forums, great stuff there!

I've heard that on these remotes the contacts can become contaminated, and just need cleaning with, contact cleaner or alcahol. They're easy to get to pieces, but will need reprogramming if the battery is removed for longer than about 30 seconds.
