Hi, had an issue with the XFR for a while where the front left tyre loses pressure over a period of around 10 days to two weeks. The tyre was getting a little worn so I figured it probably had a slow puncture and decided to get both fronts replaced. Last night I took the car to Costco who have replaced both front tyres with Michelin PS4s.

Anyway, this morning I noticed the front left tyre looks to be completely flat. I don't use the car daily and was on my way to work so that's about as far as I got with it.

To be honest I'm not really sure what to do next. I guess I can take it back to Costco to get them to check the fitting. Other than that I'm left with a leaking valve (these are tyre pressure monitoring valves) or a damaged alloy. I assume if it's the valve Costco will be of little help, would i need to take it to a Jaguar dealer for these to be replaced?

Could anyone suggest on what the best course of action would be?

Take the wheel off and find the leak using water looking for bubbles. You can then decide on the best course of action.

The valve is a ford part , probably £70 from Jag and £25 everywhere else , they dont need coding just fit and forget although it can take a while for it see it

Thanks for the replies. To be honest I'm pretty inept so taking the wheel off to check for leaks is beyond my ability. I inflated it at lunchtime today and it's still inflated which I guess is a good sign.. I'm unsure how long it took to go down yesterday after being fitted other than overnight. If it's flat again in the morning I will take it back to Costco and have them check.

Regarding the sensor, I guess the tyre needs to come off for this to be fitted?

It os probably leaking around the rim and requires a rim seal, or the alloy is warped or corroded. Take it to a reputable independent tyre place and get it sorted. My XKR had a slow leak. New seal and all well. £25

Took it back to Costco and the rim is actually cracked. I'm guessing that getting this welded isn't a good idea so think I'm looking for a replacement wheel!

Thanks for the replies, this is going to be an expensive month by the looks of it! If anyone has any suggestions on the best place to source a replacement?

Elite Tyres of Reading do lots of Jag alloys..call Lepsons or Premier Alloys in Swindon(formerly Lepsons SW) and see if they can be repaired. They do a full strip and repair so you may be lucky fpr £90 or so....

the worrying aspect is that whoever fitted the tyre saw the cracked wheel and fitted the tyre anyway.
should not be too difficult to find a wheel/

Yeah I wasn't too impressed that the the tyre fitter missed the crack to be honest. Found a replacement on ebay so going with that. I can then get the damaged one repaired whenever it's convenient.

Not an excuse because this is a fairly common issue across many brands so should be looked for, but the odds are the wheel was put on the T/C with no examination and that crack would have been hidden from view during the whole process.

Still, any decent tyre fitter would have seen a crack like that.
