Anyone else had an invite to one of these?

Just booked the morning session at Brand Hatch on 25th January.

Looks a great activity. Interested in both the F-Type and E-Pace, so will be much better than a normal test drive to try them out.

Direct from Jaguar UK. I've never owned a Jag, but did express an interest in the E-Pace last year but was unable to make my local dealer cheese and wine evening. So this invite was totally out the blue. Was considering the E-Pace as a replacement for my Evoque, but that's now gone.

Yep I'm going along too, first Friday in Feb if I remember correctly without checking. Should be good fun, already driven an F-Pace S diesel on the road and it was very very good.

So yesterday I went to the Jaguar Art of Performance Tour at Brands Hatch. Great day with lots of activities:
• Road drive on an E-Pace 180ps AWD
• E-Pace 150d on smart cones
• E-Pace 240d parking challenge
• E-Pace 250 petrol on ice road
• XF 240d Sportbrake on slalom
• F-Pace 3.0D on slalom
• E-Pace 300ps on track
• XE 380ps on track – fantastic!
• F-Type R-Dynamic 380ps on track
• 2 hot laps in an F-Type SVR
• XJL 3.0D Autobiography
• F-Pace S 3.0V6 petrol 380 – fantastic

Great day I thought the XE was great on track the F-Pace supercharged was awesome on road.

Oh and Jaguar driving there and back in my F-Type S .

We went on the Thursday. Never been to Brands Hatch or in a Jag before. Found the whole thing superbly well run, with a brilliant mix of activities. Think I was most impressed by the F-Pace, through the slaloms.

The XF and F-Type were the biggest surprises for me.

A couple of pics from the day:

Can you elaborate on how they surprised you, particularly the XF?

Sure. I'm not a fan of estates. They're the shape they are for practical reasons, and practical isn't sexy or fun. In my wifes words "A sporty estate car is like a fat, dirty old man in a leather jacket".

But I thought the XF Sportbrake looked great, the seats felt fantastic, the noise it made was lovely. Acceleration was pleasant, peddles well placed, and I think I prefer the turbo in this car to the feel of the supercharged engines in some of the other Jags I drove. It didn't feel like a big diesel car. I got two slalom runs in it, and it felt fun to drive, pretty well controlled body roll, a decent turn of pace, and nice steering.

Only thing I didn't like was the steering wheel which felt a bit cheap - which was the case across the whole range of cars I tested. Think most were leather, but felt plastic-y. Maybe the diameter of the wheel is a bit slimmer too? But the wheel in my previous cars felt nicer.

If I were in the market for an estate I'd consider it.
