Hi all

I know the suspensions of a BMW like a ducks in and out ,but not on these XEs , I learnt the hardway about wrong suspensions bought a new 3 series 30d Luxury ,love the detailing on them as opposed to M Sport and thought coming from a one series SE all will be well and a step up,

It comes with the standard SE suspension. In years of driving middle of the road new company cars which I got in and drove without a care the awful wallowing blangmange I was now driving really hit me. If I did it again it would be no Xdrive and adaptive.

So much so I paid out £1500 and replaced wiith AC Schnitzer shocks and spring a total transformation.
Sorry for that digress so any heads up with the best set up on an XE. I dont want it wallowing at all no nose diving etc but no teeth rattling either, thanks in advance.

I think you'll find that best is very much a matter of personal opinion. Some people like their suspension so firm it shakes their fillings out while others want a pillow soft ride.

Indeed. There are many kits to make suspension harder, but not to make it softer! The ride of modern cars is absolutely shocking, but people have got used to being bumped around like a pea in a bottle and think it's great... spin

My Dad has the R-sport XE and that drives great. Adaptive dampers also make it switchable depending on how you feel.
