Thought I would update you on progress for our clubs Growler II event on Sunday 8th May at Beaulieu Motor Museum in Hampshire.
We are expecting around 100 XK8 and XKRs to turn up and be on display alongside company stands from RGC Ltd, Paramount Performance, Autoglym, Wicked Wheels, HA Fox Southampton (Jaguar Dealership) and more.
Will be a great day for all XK8 and XKR owners and enthusiasts, so why not come along. See www.xkec.co.uk for more details. Show will run from 10am to 5pm.

If you drive an XK, then take the Sunday off for a day trip to Hampshire!

Come on you guys! Give Mark some support !
Last year the weather was B U T E ful and the number of XKs that turned up was astonishing. It was a really good day out with a great drive to and from. I know the Enthusiasts Club are having a road convoy of XKs inbound to the event - details on www.XKec.co.uk I think. Good fun driving in a 35+ XK chain - so long as you don't do what Wokkadriver and Groomi did on the last R Club event (kiss my a**e !)
If you are going, just mention it on this thread and then everyone else who is thinking about it will feel more confident about taking part.
Why am I campaigning ? Because Mark's been running his super club for XK owners for about 2 years and he doesn't even have an XK ! Well, that's about to change because he has bought a really nice XKR from RGC and he's loading me up to get it finalised for him by this Saturday. And we have got a really good display of upgraded XK8s and XKRs on display for you on Sunday the 8th - plus LaurieB's monster S-Type R.
So, if you have a Jaguar - even if it isn't an XK - I am sure Mark won't mind if you come for a looksee !!
He probably won't mind if you haven't got a Jaguar at all. After all his XKR is replacing a classic Ford Pop.
Be there, no matter who is governing the country !!Its a question of trust !!!
