Key fob question
Discussion
Next week I collect a gorgeous 2006 XK - but it only has one fob.
However, I have a spare fob from a 2011 XF.
The units look identical.
I rang my local Jaguar dealer to ask if the XF fob could be reprogrammed to operate the XK; they said not, and Ithat 'll have to pay £££ for a whole new fob (of which £65 + VAT is labour!)
Is this really true or can some clever person with a PC in a dark alley do the business?
Thanks!

It always was the case with other manufacturers, but thing might be different with Jag. However, I have a spare fob from a 2011 XF.
