Not familiar with X350 but my X308, the XJS-C before it and our Honda CR-V have aircon drains at the front of the vehicle, I suppose that with the X350 being later it could have some pipework to the rear but I would be lifting everything out of the boot and looking for a puddle (or evidence of one, now you've let the water out) in the bottom of the boot and perhaps gaining knowledge of where the topside of that bung is and if there is a tube connected to it.

check the spare wheel well?? Its not impossible for boot seals to leak...

(I used to carry a bit of oil and water in the wheel well. I checked both once (for the first time in years..). They had spilt and mixed. Lovely....)

There won't be any water in the air tank for the suspension. Far more likely you have a leaking seal or light fitting that's allowing rain /washing water into the boot area.

remember thats what the drain plug is for, and you've cleared it so good job.

Its not very scientific, but newspaper placed all over the boot and a watering can on the outside is quite a good way of seeing where the leak is coming from.

Oh, pics of the rest of the car please!!

I have an X350 and had water in the boot. If you picture water running down the sides of the boot lip then it has to pass behind two black plastic strips attached to each rear light cluster. On my car these were bunged up. I cleared these out and have had no trouble since.

The newspaper will quickly show any damp. The watering can is a way of seeing where fhe leak might be comingjng from, without using too much water. If the leak is bad, you dont want a hosepipe.

Lovely car by the way
