hi just bought a 2008 xj tdi found out on the way home forgot to ask for second key when i rang they said they only had one so rang jaguar dealer and they quoted just under £400 for a new one does anyone know where i can get one at a resonable price and also if anyone knows of a jaguar specialist in north or east essex thanks

Paul Roach Jaguar is the only independent specialist I know of nearby. He's close to Sudbury just over the Essex Badlands border with Suffolk.

Les Paul in east London and Wyn Thomas in Epping are other Jaguar indys with workshops and there's a Jaguar Approved service centre called Taylors in Dunmow too.

I don't think Paul Roach exist as such. I seem to remember they closed and re-opened under a slightly different name (and maybe with different management/owners). Regardless, here's a link:

You could also give Kevin a ring at Jagutek. They're in Ely (Cambridgeshire) so a bit further away for you but they are very knowledgeable (especially with the 'newer' Jaguar's):

New Key blank (£25) get it cut and then code it in the dash yourself, don't spend £400!!
