Thinking of selling my V8f type and getting XF sportbrake 3.0D 2014/2015
has anyone owned one of these. Would have liked XFR-S but can warrant additional £15000

I've got on in Luxury spec. Great car, very comfortable and practical.

Rear parking camera is a must as the visibility isn't good out the back, but even so - don't let your wife drive it... frown

Went from an XKR to a XF Sportbrake R-Sport 3.0 due to new dog and grand child.

Really comfortable car, not bad performance.

Miss the XKR though....

I sold my F-Type coupe last year and bought a '15 XFR-S Sportbrake in Ultra Blue. It's a big heavy old beast but the Sportbrake is a very practical car. I bought it mainly for the dog as the F-Type was a bit cramped for him. Don't know if there's anything specific you wanted to know.......?

I get 41-42mpg on mixed use. 8spd auto is very smooth, but kickdown is a bit sluggish in normal mode. Sport is much better in the twisties and dynamic is a bit mad - but it's no supercharged V8.

Ride comfort is pretty good on 18inch wheels - not XJ good, but better than most. Very good at absorbing potholes and undulating country lanes. Handling can be a touch understeery if accelerating hard.

Interior is a lovely place to be. Only downside is the back of the front seats are very difficult to clean if kids (or dogs presumably) get mud on them.
