Hey, I bought my first Jaguar XKR last week, never dreamed of having one before. Bloody fantastic, what a car. It's a 2008 in liquid silver and black leather, on 20in rims.
My daily car before this was the Mercedes (W215) CL55, another fantastic car for two years until the bloody hydrolic ABC suspension gives me bags of trouble that spanned 9 months, dam thing, never again, it's out of herefrown In every way the CL was a great car besides that sty ABC crap.
However, do I miss it? Not a chance, I love this jaguar I have, outstanding bit of kit smile Even love the idiot proof touch screen system.
I sorted out that known problem, the aircon over flow tube problem straight away via the top of the bell housing with a special home made tool wink So here's to many thousands of miles of smile on my face enjoyment smile Great design.
Oh yea, been reading about the accidental deployment of the bonnet air bags of some XK and XFs as they are driving over pot holes, that's scary smile
So hey to all you leapers and growlers biggrin

I guess old habit's die hard and once you've set the title for topics you can't change them.
Merc's are W's and Jag's are X's biglaugh

Welcome aboard, I've kind of got one foot in either camp, OK, I've got three Jag's and LadyB8 has a Merc biggrin

I suspect you've find them quite different. The TC in the Jag in particular is very different, our W212's is setup to rather nanny you while the X150's is setup to let you S*&^ yourself.

Steel "J" shaped rod with a razer sharp end. I could feel the exit hole right above the gearbox bell housing, even though there is hardly any wiggle room. So i guided the tool into place. Then pushed up onto the blocked little rubber drain tube, and water pissed out. So now the rubber tube has 4 or 5 holes in it. It was not worth trying to find the "duck tail" at the end, so i made my own exit holes next to it.
Saves removing the dash or dropping the gear box just to snip of the duck tail end as most do.
