Help on this one please.....

My 98 X308 XJR really soat its dummy out.

After a 15 mile trip I parked it and turned the ignition off then opened my garage door.
Started it again and as I crept in Dantes Inferno erupted.

Water and steam everywhere, bloody ruined the front end plastics with water so hot it has caused pitting snd paint chios.

I went back today and filled it with cold water to locate a leak, there is one, I just can't find it.
If I put the header tank cap back on the leak stops.
water is dripping from the gearbox case where it marries to the engine and bizarrely onto the inside of the front spoiler. Just don't know its origin.

Further inspection tells me its high up possibly under the intercoolers or supercharger.

Anyone had this fault ? Could I have done some lasting damage ? I drove it for about 12 feet as it went into the garage fizzing and hissing.

Comments gratefully received

Coolant Valley Pipes possibly?

Rubber pipes that sit under the S/C and above the 'V' of the engine. Get quite brittle due to heat and when they go the coolant can pool up there until you drive it and it gets displaced.

Happened to my XKR 4.2.

I will take a look. I have acquired one of the bendy camera things that will probe where I can't.

Both kids got an endoscopy last night, and the dog refuses to come out from under the stairs....well I had to test it first

I have found one leak, in the first photo its a short angled and wide hose about 6 inches long and connects to the alloy.
It in the middle of the first photo.
In the second photo its partially tucked down the side of the supercharger below the longer rippled pipes
Anyone know what its called by any chance ?
