XFR - Auto lights coming on when parked and left
Discussion
I've searched for this on many forums but haven't seen another thread.
First, this is not the dreaded intermittent map light problem (though I have that and still not resolved after 5 years of ownership and multiple fixes).
Lately, I have noticed that the rear and head lights have come on when the car is parked and locked. It took a while to work out that switching the auto-light off on the stalk and then back on again 'solved' the problem.
Presumably a dodgy connection and I have a work around (switch to manual lights) but wondered if anyone else had come across this and if it was something more sinister (e.g. alternator).
Many thanks for any help.
P.S. I bought the car when 9 months old and is a keeper - stonking car for the money, if you can afford the tax and petrol.

Crickey - impeccable lurking!
You may get a better answer over on www.jaginfo.org where there's more XF traffic, and lots of DIYers.
Do you where tight jeans? Might be pressing the lights button on the fob by accident.
