Hi,

I have just bought all the special tools for doing a tensioner job myself, and the idea now is to share these tools, inclusive of all known documentation, to distibute this to others who would like to do the job themselves.

Anyone interested?

Tensioning what?

I prefer to de-stress at a party.

When you hear that 'death rattle' and know you are in for £1000 at a main dealer I think you might have a few takers.

This is only for those who do not want to take a risk, and can do the job on their own.

But remember you do not always get the 'rattle' warning upfront. Besides that my wife is also driving he car, and she may not understand the rattle warning.

Last but not least, nothing beets the feeling that you can start a car, without the fear of destroying it, doesn't it?

Happy driving

get that info in the net as soon as possible. Nice one .
The AJ V8s have really bad tensioners and they have been modified ot a much better tensioer. they used to completely disintegrate as did much of your motor!

it is worth checking the top ones for cracks and de-lamination.even if the top chais are slack that indicates potential disaster.

check it and avoid the kerbside wait for the AA!
