Hello, all-
I have a DB9 and hang out over on the Aston Martin forum. My brother, however, is buying a 2010 XKR.
Battery tenders are absolute necessities with Astons. The battery dies very quickly and with horrible consequences when not driven or plugged-in.
Is this also the case with an XKR?
Thanks!

I tend to keep my XKR on a CTEK battery conditioner when I'm not going to be driving it for more than a week.
I think my battery was on the way out when I bought the car, it never shows up on the CTEK as being fully charged and if I leave it switched on without the engine running for long it gives me a warning it will shutdown in 3 minutes time if I don't start the engine.
Too much electronic gumbins in modern cars.
I've no idea what trouble it would cause if the battery were to go totally flat. I've just flattened the battery in my X300 (warning that you've left the lights on only works occasionally now frown so guess what I'd done). With that it's just the radio that needs unlocking. LadyB8's last Merc used to need all the window sensors reseting if there was a problem with the battery.

I have a fly lead on my XKR battery and attach it to a ctek maintainer when not being used for a while. My XKR is now 8 years old and I chose to have a new battery fitted at the last service even though the old battery seems to be ok.

The car will sit for a couple of weeks without a maintainer and start with no problem.
