Long story short -was doing an all-round disc, pad and fluid change on my 4.2 XKR (standard 4.2 X150 XKR brakes - not Alcon or Ceramic) and someone has helpfully rounded off the rear bleed screws (one's just about ok, but the other needs grips to turn!).

Simple enough, I thought - might as well change all 4 while I'm at it:

- Checked on-line, couldn't find any.
- Phoned Main Dealer - no part numbers on the EPC.
- Main Dealer tried Jaguar Technical, who came back with about 5 different part numbers in turn (including one for a bleed screw cap) - not useful.
- Independent specialist doesn't know where they could be sourced from.
- ...

No-one seems to have ever changed one of these before, or if they have, they're not saying! - The only part numbers I could find on-line specifically said 'except 4.2 S/C' for both front and rear screws. Local Jag Parts guy is trying his best, but has nothing to go on.

This is now officially doing my head in - such a simple part, yet no-one, including the company that built the thing, seems to have a clue.

Does anyone here know what part number they are, or where something that'll fit can be sourced from?

Is it worth trying to go via the manufacturer of the calipers, I think they are Brembo?

Can't help more than that, sorry frown

I think it was the X100 XKR that had Brembo brakes, but you're right - if I can find the OEM it should help!

Thanks - it's just getting the bits to work on it that's a pain - had the same issue with the decorative split-rim bolts for the Alloys too - had to cut down some genuine ones in the end! biggrin

Well done. Make sure you don't round your bleed screws... biggrin

How about aftermarket - Speedbleeders maybe ??
I know it won't be OEM, but the Concours judges will never notice !
Failing that, you may have to pull one out and measure the thread and length. I can't believe that there will be many different types.

I'm happy with anything that will work correctly - concourse is not an issue!

I'm just waiting to get some free time to take one out and have a good look at it, as you said, once I've got the thread I should be able to find something that fits.

There's a caliper for sale on Fleabay at the moment, standard XKR one, and it appears to be made by Ate.

HTH! smile

Cheers - looking at their catalogue they have the bleed screw dimensions broken down, so I can compare mine with theirs quite easily...
