XJR-S - What Do I Need To Know?

I'm intererested in a facelift XJR-S 6.0, but don't know much about these particular variants. Is there anything to avoid or be aware of? The car I'm thinking about has the zytek engine management system.

Are they especially niche, or is it something that a decent local garage could work on? Is there a particular 'parts-tax' with any specialised bits to be aware of, or is it generally standard stuff?

Grateful for any thoughts.

Its just a bored out 5.3 with unusual engine management. The later Jaguar own 6.0 is different being distributorless etc. I have the 6.0 XJR-S engine in my XJC and the real drawback is that it retained the 3 speed gearbox. Mine has had the zytek replaced though because if they go wrong they are not easy to sort out.

I nearly bought one of these a few years ago, and test drove the thing for many miles. Utterly superb, so hats off to you for your recent purchase.
