Aerial for XJS?

My XJS is in need of a new telescopic aerial. The current one (or lack of) was snapped off and pulled out - so it probably needs a new motor etc.
Jaguar quoted me something ridiculous like £450 saying it would need to be rewired back to the radio. Not sure if this was just to put me off because they didn't want to do it or they are right.
Would a decent auto electrical garage be able to fix me up? Would it be better to have a DAB fitted with a screen aerial (thus doing away with the telescopic one)?

You can also use a universal electric aerial from Amazon or eBay for about £25.
I replaced mine last week after my boot shut with the key in the ignition, the spoiler snapping the old one.
Easy job to do yourself if you plug the new one in as you unplug the old one and keep things orderly.
