Anybody else find it difficult at the pumps. Mine keeps clicking off as if it is full. Worse on some pumps than others.
Guy at a BP garage that offers attended service says a lot of Jags are like this
Yes, my XF 'S' has exactly the same issue!! Extremely frustrating!!!Guy at a BP garage that offers attended service says a lot of Jags are like this
At a guess, the mis-fuelling flap has been triggered. Have a look down the filler neck and see if you can see a yellow flap. If you can, the reset tool is usually mounted on top of the battery in the boot.
Edit: video here, it's the same on the XJ as it is on the XF.

I have recently purchased an XF S Diesel. On first fueling, it took me an age to fill up half a tank, assuming it was the filters on the pump that need changing (should be done regularly by the petrol station). Today filled up again same station different pump same problem well 20 mins for half a tank is not fun. Google lead me here. Thank you SlimRick for the advice, checked that and the flap was down, I have reset and can't wait to try filling up again to see if that has fixed it.

I had the same problem & can also confirm on the XF if you see the yellow plastic cap in the fuel filler simply get the yellow plastic gadget key on top of the car's battery insert it the right way up (see the video on here) then hook & pull back, the yellow plastic cap then dissapears & it's job done ! ..Its a very clever & handy safety feature to have as it stops you refueling with the wrong fuel by mistke !
I've been having the same fuel filling problem with my 2009 3.0 litre XF. I bought and collected the car last Saturday, drove off the forecourt with a near empty tank. Went to the nearest fuel statin and found I couldn't get fuel in to it, patiently managed to get a few gallons in. Tried again after a few hundred miles and same again but did manage to fill the tank eventually.
Researched the problem on here and found out about the misfueling flap. Visited the local Jag dealer and purchased the resetting tool that I have now used. When there is room in the tank I will try to fuel it again. I will let you know how that goes.

We have a 2014 XF S Sportbrake and I've found this too. I know about the misfuelling prevention device, when I've found it near impossible to fill the tank without the pump cutting out I've checked the filler neck and don't see any of the tell-tale yellow tabs so it's not that. Suspect some air maybe gets stuck somewhere in the filler neck or something. Generally I just persevere until I get enough in to do me until I get to another filling station and it's all good from there. I've been back to the same pumps at the same stations that have given problems before and had no issue.
