F-TYPE paint protection film - stone chips
Discussion
Hey guys I just wanted to make a record in the Internet in case future owners are researching.
I've owned my F for a few months now and immediately upon purchase I had a full frontal PPF kit fit. This is a pre cut kit specifically designed for the F and covered the full bumper, 1/3 bonnet, CF front splitter and CF wing mirrors
It is a Suntek film which is guaranteed for 5 years and is self healing.
I had it fit my Drayke Fields who looked after my RS 5 and R8's.

They did a superb job and really could recommend them highly enough!
Anyhow, a few months and a few thousand miles past and I noticed the car was picking up significant stone chipping on the lower side sills and also higher up on the rear arches.
So, got the sills resprayed and then took the opportunity to add further PPF.
I went to Drayke Fields and they did some custom PPF on the lower sills, rear haunches and the front and rear wheel splashes for a very reasonable price
They did a superb job and you genuinely cannot see the film
The best bit is that they have scanned and save the custom PPF on these areas and can now laser cut the film.
So, if you have an F or are buying one, I would massively recommend you get these areas covered. It will give you peace of mind and keep your pride and joy looking brand new.
When I picked the car up, Drayke Field said now they have scanned the custom PPF they can offer it cheaper than it cost me as obviously it quite labour intensive to do it custom
So I would massively recommend Drayke Fields to look after your pride and joy
