Souped-up Jaguar F-Type SVR looks likely to get four-wheel drive, 567bhp and a 200mph top speed

A sales brochure revealing the Jaguar F-Type SVR has been leaked online, giving us our first look at Jag's range-topping sports car.

The SVR badge means it has been developed by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations department, and the brochure indicates that it will feature the same 567bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine as the limited-edition Project 7. It will be the first Jaguar to wear the SVR badge, however, following on the heels of last year's Range Rover Sport SVR.

Thanks to the powerful V8 with 700Nm of torque, an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, the F-Type SVR will go from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and on to an incredible 200mph top speed - according to the leaked sales materials. That means it will have 25bhp more than the F-Type R, the current range-topper, and manage the 0-62mph sprint 0.4 seconds faster. It also comprehensively beats the R's top speed of 186mph.

An insider tells us that those figures aren't final, but if true it will mean the F-Type SVR matches the limited-run Project 7 as the most powerful Jaguar production car ever.

The F-Type SVR will be available as a coupe and convertible, and gets a few aerodynamic upgrades over the standard car. The brochure mentions new air inlets at the front, along with an upgraded splitter and more vents to allow bigger quantities of air into the new cooling system. The car also looks set to get a revised diffuser at the rear.

There's also a huge rear spoiler that covers the whole width of the car, and it will be able to extend to provide more downforce at high speed. It can apparently reduce lift by up to 80 per cent, but to reach that impressive 200mph top speed it needs to be lowered to make the car more slippery. The convertible version won't be able to reach that speed, however, topping out at 194mph.

The wheels are wider and lighter, allowing for bigger tyres to be fitted to improve grip. Carbon-ceramic brakes feature on the SVR to reduce weight by 21kg and are joined by stiffer suspension for better cornering ability. A titanium exhaust system has been added as well, which results in a 12kg weight saving as well as giving the SVR a unique exhaust note - something even the standard F-Type has become famous for.

Inside, there's an updated steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles and sports seats with a quilted leather finish. The dashboard features contrast stitching, too. The pictures in the brochure show SVR logos that are placed throughout the cabin, too.

There's no official word on the F-Type SVR from Jaguar, but we expect it to cost more than £100,000 when it launches later this year. It's likely to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, when we'll have all the official details.

Hugely overpriced I expect as well. Prefer a C63SAMG for £60k....

I just hope it's more than a reincarnation than the old RS, xf and XK, as I've previously stated for a two seater aluminium car it's quite heavy, I don't think it'll be taken seriously until it gets lighter, by seriously I mean porche 911 turbo quick or GT3 precision. Looks alone it, F type wins hands down but the AMG GT kills it for interior quality, so the jag needs to up it's game, crackles and pops can only get you so far, time for a serious f type. Here's hoping
