I've had 2011 facelift 3.0d saloon for 9 months. It's been faultless. Great performance on tap but also getting 40mpg. Standard servicing costs good value imo. Quality of servce staff at my dealer fantastic. All in all a great ownership ecperience so far. 2 year used car warranty for peace of mind if you buy from Jag.
We're 2.5 years into the ownership of ours and enjoying it immensely. Some minor things fixed under the extended warranty, and a recall for the connectors on the fuel sender (intermittent fuel gauge reading).
However, doing only 8500 miles per year, we opted for the 5.0 V8, and it really is a lovely engine. Sometimes we can get as high as 25mpg!

Many thanks for replies. Local Jag dealer has 2014 model with 14000 miles on for £30500. Will enquire this week but I see in a reply that it comes with a 2 year warranty. Can anyone please confirm. Is a new model out shortly? Would definitely go for the S which this 1 is - in white with black wheels. Any info much appreciated.
I bought my 2010MY in June 2013 with 32k miles as an approved used car. Now on 67k miles with a Full Jag SH to date but been out of warranty about 18 months now. Had a full set of discs / pads in that time and a rear control arm at the last MOT. Will be on its second set of tyres in my ownership when I get the fronts done in the next week or so. Only real issues with mine have been bodywork related. The rear bootlids can corrode around the chrome trim - sorted this summer under warranty. The chrome window trims are also a bit erm crap and seem to tarnish quite badly. Mine were horrendous so I bit the bullet and replaced the lot getting the new ones painted black at the same time. I also had a stonechip on the trailing edge of the front wheel arch which started to corrode quite badly. Ok maybe not the cars fault but I think I'd invest in some front mudflaps as the area does seem somewhat prone.
Jag servicing is also pretty affordable but you have to haggle in my opinion. All in all I love the car although a bit more interior space wouldnt go amiss. Actually thinking about changing mine soon so been looking at the A6 and 5 series but keep coming back to a newer XF-S with the 8 speed autobox.

I've got a 2011 (facelift, that is) XF 3.0DS, have done more than 50,000 miles in it, and it has given exemplary service. Fast, ultra-comfortable, great-handling, and reliable. 40 - 42mpg on longish journeys. (BMW cynics say that this is not an acceptable figure, but so what ....?)
The important thing to stress is that this car has the ZF-8-speed automatic transmission which is undoubtedly the best in the world.
Do I have any complaints ?
In a word - no.

I had a pre-facelift which I really liked, but fancying a change I px'd it for a BMW. Big mistake ! Four months later I got rid of the BMW, and bought a facelift XF-S, and I've been as happy as Larry with it. Comfortable, fast and decent economy - it's difficult to think what I could replace it with.
I've got a '10 XF S Premium Luxury with the Dynamic pack. I've done about 38,000 miles in the last 2 years in it.
Positives:
Looks great
Handles and rides extremely well, even on 20s
Negatives:
Offset driving position
Poor satnav compared to others
Chews through tyres and brakes
Poor non-xenon headlights (pre facelift)
Only averages 34 mpg
Reliability has been good, apart form a couple of erroneous sensor warnings.

On my second. Bought a new one in 2012, then another new in 2014. Love them. Miles More presence than anything German. With the Portfolio S you get loads of toys thrown in. Decent sound, heated screen, heated and cooled seats. Just a lovely place to be.
Faults? The drivers door window cables can break loose and rattle. That's about it.
