X300 XJ6 1997 using too much fuel??

I have a 3.2 XJ6 with 81 k fsh that is barely managing to do 10 mpg, have replaced the air flow meter but still no joy, would appreciate any advice or tips on what to check?

Choked cat perhaps? Sticky front calipers also knock a serious hole in your fuel consumption.
