I have taken the plunge.....and bought the maddest and best car ever. F Type R Coupe.....
I thought I had wanted a V6S. Lots of people say it's the sweet spot in the range...but in my opinion it lacked in performance and I couldn't take to the noise. Noise is important...... had so as a comparison I had a drive in a V8 Coupe. And wow. It pressed all the buttons. I have had some machinery in my time, but nothing is as complete as this car. The nearest comparison I can draw from my own perspective is a Mercedes SL55. Comfortable, quiet, high end quality, all the bells and whistles and then, and then..... Release the beast and it delivers like nothing else..... I absolutely adore the sound.....when you are in 'normal mode' there's the noise from the exhaust in the background. You know you're in a V8. Then when you Switch on the exhaust, the increased noise is impressive enough to turn most heads and you get admiring glances. Or that's what they look like! But when that dynamic mode is selected, the car is startling. I have only had the car for two days - and I'm already in 'love......anyway, no reason in particular for this post other than FYI.
