I saw a chap who had replaced his XJS radio with one that had the aerial mounted in the windscreen.

My XJS aerial has broken and I was wondering whether or not to go digital and do away with the need for the rear aerial.

Has anyone done the same with their older Jags and is it an easy job for a professional to do?

The alternative is to replace the rear aerial as it is and carry on with the original.

I've swapped out two 'normal' stereo units for DAB ones, a Kenwood and a Pure. They both need fairly unobtrusive screen aerials for the DAB fiunction but still need a normal aerial for AM/FM.

If you've a good DAB signal you'll never listen to normal radio again. The install is a breeze although the XJS probably won't have the current ISO connectors so you might need an adapter and do a bit of wiring, all quite easy though.

Of the two I've got, the Pure is the one I prefer, visually looks fine, works well and not wildly expensive. Came from Halfords, about £115 plus about £20 for the aerial.
