So I'm trying to fix my sunroof.

I bought and correctly installed a new control module, no change. I have messed around with it to no avail, and I'm a bit sick of it, but want to get it finished.

Sunroof will open outwards fine, but appears to get stuck when retracting inside the body shell and will not travel more than about an inch inside, as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb_oPGkSVto

I checked the back runners, which moved in once the springs had been unclipped without any problem, which suggests no problem with the tracks behind the mechanism.

The sunroof apparatus itself will not move very much, so I am inclined to believe that something has seized in the mechanism, or that the motor is faulty: does anyone know whether these are good punts, or whether it could be something else?

In addition, a quick question to those in the know, how do I get the leather and gear stick off the manual gearbox? Do I have to remove the centre console, or no?

Cheers
