Seeking advice re the above. For the past few years the heater fan motors in my 94 4ltr car have been blowing weaker getting progressively worse until they have now stopped blowing completely. I believe there is a known fault that some transistorised control part deteriorates over time. Has anyone had experience of this and / or replaced the motors ?.
Many thanks in advance

Possibly just needing brushes.

Quite easy to get to but you have to be flexible working down in the footwell
Passenger side is more tricky than drivers side because you have to move much of the wiring harness out of the way. Just undo all the panels holding the relays and push to one side
Mine was an AM I6 without airbag so I get see better when the glovebox was removed.
3 small bolts hold the fan in place and then there is the blue plastic duct to pull off. It is taped on to the blower motor.
When you have it out- check/replace the brushes

If yours is a 94 facelift....check to see if water has been dripping down from corner of window area as they can rust under the trim.

All the best
