F- Type V6S driving modes

I recently bought an F Type V6S and love it.
Couple of questions:
1) launch control. Anybody used it? I don't really see the need for it but wondered if anyone's tried it? I guess I have too much mechanical sympathy - ie enjoy spirited driving but not sure about launch control on cars.
2) I've read somewhere there is a 'race mode' ie one mode up from 'dynamic mode'. Does anyone on here know anything about it or tried it?

Ref. the driving modes:
Sport mode first on the gearbox (or then manual mode)
Then dynamic mode (chequered flag) which recalibrates the active dampers, throttle map, steering etc.
Then if you briefly press the DSC button you get "TracDSC" mode which effectively allows you a bit of slip but will help out if it goes too far (can't change the laws of physics etc.!) - the cluster will flash up TracDSC and the systems are recalibrated accordingly - great for track days
Then if you really want slidey slidey you need to press and hold the DSC button for several seconds to turn it off completely

Jaguar's traction/stability control systems are very liberal.
I never once had it intervene hooning a V8 F-Type around and a few times I've had to check that I haven't accidently switched it off on my XFR-S. Maybe it's just a function of the power but the car can break traction, develop a large yaw angle, have corrective action to prevent you going off the side of the road and be all over with without so much as an amber light of the dash. Anyone who thinks it's going to mitigate driving without due care and basic aptitude is sorely mistaken.
