XKR convertible living outside

This might seem to ba strange question but can an XKR or XK8 convertible live outside during the winter without suffering from leaks etc.
We currently have two TVR's that definitely prefer garage life in winter but we are considering buying an XKR to rpelace them and allow us to increase our garden by removing the garage!

I have a tvr and a convertible XK and they both live outside. The TVR has a full cover and just a half cover for the XK.
Both have faired well over the years. I got the cover for the XK more to keep the next doors' cats off the roof as they were making a mess of it. The bonus is it also keeps the weather off. Both never leak if I leave the cover off.

Thanks for the reply. The Tuscan leaks in heavy rain whilst the Chimaera slowly soaks up water throughout the winter. I found full covers blew around in the wind and caused paint damage. Sounds like an XKR is more water tight!

I kept my Xkr convertible covered,outside over 2 winters.
It was ok but there seemed a lot of condensation the 2nd winter, including "inside" the speedo. So there probably was a leak somewhere (there was no problem with rust on the floor pans. It was probably a problem with the window seals)
It didn't seem to cause any permemeant damage and cleared up once I started using it again.

Had my XKR Convertible for 9 years almost all of them outside. Very few problems although I am near some trees and suffered with green growth on the roof. Treated it with Renovo and much better. I had a lot of condensation one year caused by leaky aircon and worse leaky passenger side floor. Aircon was the fill valve leaking , floor done for £150, all dry now. If you run a TVR then you must get an R The R will cost more to buy but holds it's value better. Runing costs are virtually identical and the extra cost of fuel (1-2 mpg worse) is easily made up by the grin factor and Supercharger whine. Currently there is a Blue XKR Conv in Chatham on the bay which closed at under £6K and was relisted due to a dodgy buyer. At under £6k it won't depreciate and should start a slow climb up in value
