I am looking to change the factory 18" bbs splits on my 02 xjr. Just bought the car and is my first Jaguar so any advice would be appreciated. I'd like to know what other jaguar wheels from any other model fit this car. I'd consider 19/20", if any one has any pics of their own please post. Thanks

I'd leave as is if I was you, the BBS alloys are one of the best they did on the X308, if their rough I'd get them refurbed but this is costly as you'll need the outer lips @ £100 each, but in answer to your question I believe all XJR alloys will fit including the X350's, just cause you can doesn't mean you should.

I keep switching between staying oe or modifying it. I see pics online of modded jags and think yeah, then I see a nice clean original example and I think that's the real deal. The four of them are pretty bad so would need stripped and refurbed properly. In the middle of carrying out a three stage machine polish which is going well but have spent nearly 10 hours doing the bonnet, front wings and boot lid. I have had just about every car possibly in the last 20 years but never had a car like this, it draws you in and makes you want to do every last job like an obsessive maniac...but all good. Thanks for the heads up!

You can fit any of the old Jaguar wheels from the XK X100 and XJ range up to what you have X308. The new XJs and XKs all have a different PCD so will not fit without spacers and in some cases modification.

My car had the BBS Milans. They look amazing after they have been refurbished, but it's difficult to find places that can refurb split rims.

Equally as good, IMHO, are the Asteroid wheels, like huge Minilites. Check them out. Or the BBS split rims that were on the XJR100.

Or, finally, the Solar wheels that were on the Daimler Super V8 look great too.

I think the wheels on the xjr100 were 19's

Thanks for all the advice and opinions...great to get different angles. Can anyone recommend any wheel companies who can properly refurb splits within or near Glasgow?

Yeah, I've started to look into a break upgrade. Bigger calipers and cross drilled discs possibly.

Prestige Jaguar in Glasgow are great for servicing and upgrades.

And get a lower pulley upgrade from Powerhouse. Well worth it.
You're not the first to say that. Probably do the belts, induction and maybe new exhaust system. I've been told these engines can give 500bhp if done correctly.

Thanks man, invaluable advice. Interesting about the older wheels...I have considered old school deep dish steels with a circular polished hub cap and white wall tyres, reckon it would quite cool. Old school looks with some serious power.

I've also considered fitting these wheels...anyone know what they are from? Not sure if there are bespoke, reckon they would look great on an 02 XJR, old school looks with modern tech.

Nice...did you notice a big difference after doing the pulley, belts and exhaust? If so was it at the bottom end, top end or fairly consistent all the way through?

Think your'd be better suited to a VW Polo/Passat rather than a Jag, doing that is just wrong.

I apologize completely...don't be sad, she will be restored perfectly!
