Don't know if this ride in a Jaguar has appeared on this forum before...anyway, I found it entertaining..just look at some of the cars shown..lovely...

The thing is, so much of what he's saying also applies today, but people just aren't taught to drive like that. I wonder what learners today would make of it ?
And I did chuckle at the wobbly speedo needle - I had an old MGB GT with Smiths dials and the speedo on that used to wobble around - brought back all sorts of memories !

Actually it was in the dry you had to worry because in the wet his (and your) tyres were liable to break grip even with drums, but on a dry road discs would out-brake drums every time. The first time anyone drove a disc braked car with a servo was a revelation. Then going back to unassisted drums, terrifying!Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
