XK/XKR (X150) lighter socket question
Discussion
I'm sure I read somewhere in the manual(*) that I wasn't supposed to put anything else into the lighter socket on my XKR but I was surprised to find that a phone charger doesn't seem to work in there. I've tried a couple and no luck. Has anyone else had any issues running gadgets off the socket?
I know I can charge it from the USB socket in the box between the seats, but that means unplugging the USB stick full of things to listen too.
(*) The manual seems to have been written by a hyper cautious legal dept. and carries a disclaimer of just about everything.

That's correct. I plugged my phone in when I collected my car, drove the three hours' home and wondered why the phone had gone dead. Was convinced the socket was faulty, then read the manual. There's a 12v socket in the glovebox on the right hand side, that's for charging stuff, the lighter socket is just for the lighter.I know I can charge it from the USB socket in the box between the seats, but that means unplugging the USB stick full of things to listen too.
