XJ6 standard or sport?

I'm about to buy an old XJ6 3.2 and I've narrowed my search to 2 cars; a 'standard' XJ6 auto 93L and a sport auto 94L. Both have full history, and I'm leaning towards the sport, but it doesn't have air-con, the standard does. I've read a few reviews and the sport sounds a better handling car (lots of positive comments about the ride and sports auto box). Can anyone advise me on whether the sport is indeed that much better and worth foregoing the air-con? Thanks.

I wouldn't want to drive a jag with no aircon, the gearboxes get very warm. My xjs gets very warm with the aircon off. Do they not all have sports boxes? If you ever want to sell a jag it has to have all the toys, thats why people buy them.
