XFR-S Desirability
Discussion
So…
After stumbling, completely accidentally on the Jaguar military discount page… WOW!! Why did I not know of this earlier?!
I see the XFR-S is attracting a 44% discount, and can be had on the road, in the UK for £45.5k…
While I'm not really in a position to spunk that kind of money on a car to keep it forever, I am deeply interested in the possibility of being able to run it for one year, then sell it on at either a small profit, or break even. These things retail £80k, although I know nobody buys one for the full list price.
Do you think it's possible, in the real world, to run one for one year and about 15k miles, and break even? Preferably, my break-even costs would include the servicing and repairs too.
Just an idea… And certainly FAR more fun than ever doing the A8 4.2 TDI route (which I am also very seriously considering, but second hand between £10k and £15k)
Over to you. Disastrous, or smart thinking?
