Manual F type at long last
Discussion
I just read a comment about the manual 'box on Car Magazine's website (the story was supposed to be about an AWD version but that six letter "m"-word jumped out of the page at me) and to say I'm pleased is a massive understatement!
Sadly, I can't afford to buy one (and probably won't be able to for a while yet) so hopefully some of the wealthier enthusiasts will take the plunge and look after them. Now if only they could offer it with a proper handbrake...

Having never owned an automatic before, I have to say I'm not missing a manual transmission after 2 months of driving the F.
Also, as you don't need the handbrake for anything other than to supplement the transmission when parking, the lack of a ruddy great lever is not a problem.
Obviously, you might need it in a manual car...

Auto handbrakes are fine with 2-pedal cars. - I've driven XFs and liked them...it's just that I generally prefer my RWD sports cars to be "analogue".
