X350 bluetooth conversion
Discussion
Does anyone know if there is a quick and easy " plug and play conversion kit" to make early x350s bluetooth? I have a 2004 model with the alternate sim phone in the armrest, but most of the latest 4g contracts apparently do not support use of an alternate sim! ( at least according to Orange/EE)
I have googled but the bits on sale seem to require a level of expertise to instal that I am not sure I possess!

My previous jag had the same, I just stuck a PAYG sim in the handset and diverted my phone to that number when I was in the car. Bit of a faff but maybe easier and cheaper than retro fitting bluetooth. I believe the in car sim needs to be either 02 or Vodafone (either will work).

Do you have voice?
Provided the wiring is there, you need:
BTUM Module- goes in armrest
Motorola Bluetooth phone module- in boot
Microphone- next to roof console, not needed if you have voice.
You need the connector in the armrest to have 8 wires, some only have 5, but the extra wires can be added.
I have a spare Motorola module if interested.
