Just thought i would give you some news which i hope some of you might be interested in?

I have great pleasure in announcing that we have officially launched a sister club to the XK8/XKR Enthusiasts Club (XKEC) known as the F-Type Enthusiasts Club
(F-TypeEC for short).

The official website is at http://www.f-typeec.co.uk

Our Facebook Group page is at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1475632869339906/

Also new club pages on "My Jaguar Life" for both clubs, see http://www.myjaguarlife.com/mjl-groups/xk8-xkr-ent... and http://www.myjaguarlife.com/mjl-groups/f-type-enth...

Hope some of you F-Type owners/enthusiasts might consider joining?

Why would anyone want to pay 20 quid to join a forum when the biggest forum for these cars is right here and free?

We have removed the £20 forum only fee, so forum is free.

It would be beneficial to be able to browse the forum without having to login, as PH and others allow. Currently I am put off registering due to this restraint.

Following on from our recent launch article in July edition of Jaguar World Magazine i thought i would take this opportunity to update you on progress.

Our brand new website can now be found at http://www.f-typeec.co.uk. Take a look and see what we've been up to so far. Why not also come over and join our free forum which is available at http://ftypeec.freeforums.org/ We also have an active Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1475632869339906/ and Instagram page (search for ftypeec). So if you have a few spare minutes, please look us up.

I also extend once again my open invitation to all F-TYPE owners to join us at our Summer, Show & Shine event at Beaulieu Motor Museum on Saturday 9th August 2014. Going to be a great day out for all XK and F-Type Owners and enthusiasts, see link at http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/club-ral...

Hope to see you there.

Will the forum remain public forever, or will it be made into a private forum once you have enough paying members? Sorry to be cynical but I've seen it before with clubs that are privately owned for profit and do this as a loss-leader. I'd be a bit less suspicious where the club was owned by the membership.

Not commenting on subscription fees per se, but whilst the TVR sections of Pistonheads are excellent, the Jaguar section here is rubbish with extremely poor levels of a) footfall and b) technical nouse compared to Jaguar-specific forums such as XKEC and Jaguarforum.co.uk.

If I had any Jag issue I couldn't resolve myself Pistonheads is probably the last place I'd waste my time asking on.

Have to agree, jaguarforum.co.uk, jaguarforums.com and jag lovers are the really busy Jag forums, and the two American ones are full of UK members.

But you cannot knock Mr Gregory for starting up and running these "clubs", presumably that's what's paying for his F-Type?

For your information, despite running both the XKEC and F-TypeEC i do not own either an XK or F-Type, i simply own and run an old 2003 X-type and have done so for many years now, so perhaps you would like to retract that remark!

Certainly! You don't own an F-Type.

But presumably you run these clubs for profit?
