XKR (Convertible) electric window - help!

My driver's electric window 'jumps' down an inch every time I move the door handle to open the door(and if I keep pulling the door handle it keeps doing it inch by inch each time until it is fully down). I don't mean the little bit it is supposed to, to allow the door to miss the hood. If I select the window fully up with the dooor open before leaving the car the glass catches on the hood and the door will not close. If I don't, the window doesn't close fully and allows the rain in.
Urgent suggestions needed as it rains a lot in Aberdeen?

Thanx for that Robbie. Previous thread has no suggested solution other than go to dealer which I will probably do, but, I thought I'd ask in case it was something 'even I' could remedy. Like the photos by the way. e-mail me if you have time for a coffee in ABZ.

I've found a potential solution (might as well try it before going to a dealer). Reprogram the windows: thread on another board
