Restricted Performance

Has anyone experienced the restricted performance light coming on.

Over the past few months mine has come on several times. When it comes on it is ussually after a period of fairly rapid driving and then stopping. as I drive away the light comes on and the car handles like a brick.

It has been into the dealer and there is NO log whatsoever to indicate the light coming on. They claim that this is not a problem, but it should log every fault.

Should I demand the computer is properly tested, since there is no record of an error message?

hi the light is usually a bad conection. There is a fuel bufferfly which gets suck now and again if you ring h a Fox in worc and ask for phil in service he knows all about it. He is a top mech check out my car on any cannon ball 8000 web sites

When you say it handled like a brick, did the car also loose power? Did you ever get to the bottom of the problem?
