Picking up a new XJR on Saturday. Been a memember on here for a little while, always had the sensible company thing plus a TVR.

No regrets, but tell me more about the Jag, any hints (driving wise) do I still wave to my old old TVR buddies or will they look down their nose at me???.

Can't wait to pick her up.

How to drive it?

Aways in sport mode (sod fuel consumption)

Aways use the J gate (drive it like a manual) so your never in the wrong gear and always keeping her in the power band.

Always use the J gate for engine braking, she enters and leaves the bends so much better in the right gear

Does the XJR 4.0 have CATS fitted? I use the J gate to drive hard cos it seems to keep the CATS active and stiff all the time. Can't stand wollowing into corners it feels horrible

Sorry had a few too many beers when I posted last time...it doesn't help having the "j" and "k" buttons so close together either!

I pick up a black XKR on Saturday and boy what a car,fast, refined and great looking
